Jag köpte en rockshox reba sl till min gamla mtb för några veckor sedan.
Efter att ha kört två gånger på nick-spåret så funkar inte lock-outen (den lock-outar inte) och gaffeln stoppar efter ca halva slaglängden.
Jag har provat att ställa lock-out-wiren hårdare och lösare utan resultat, och tagit ur luften ut dämparen, ändå stannar den på hälften.
Tips och tricks?
Viktigast att den börjar dämpåa bra, lock-outen är inte så viktig

Låter som att det läcker ut olja från innerbenet på höger sida ut i ytterbenet så det tar stopp. Har hört att det kan vara en O-ring som måste bytas i en del Reba gafflar då dom fått för tunn O-ring från fabrik och således så läcker dämpningsoljan ut och bildar ett bad i ytterbenet som tar emot, då har inte heller kompressions dämparen någon olja att kunna låsa emot.

Var köpte du den? Jag har nyligen köpt en från bike-discount.

There appears to be a common fault with some dual air Rockshox forks that results in the lockout not working (usually the first thing people notice) and a loss of travel. It's caused by the damping oil in the right hand leg leaking into the lowers. This means there isn't enough oil around the damping cartridge (hence no lockout) and the oil in the lowers won't compress (hence the loss of travel).

How do I check?

Well other than the symptoms described above the easiest thing to do is release the pressure in the positive air spring (valve on the top of the left hand leg). The pressure in the negative spring (valve on the bottom of the left hand leg) will make the forks compress. When compressed pretty much all of the stanchion should disappear. If you've stil got 15mm of more stanchion visible you've probably got a leak.

How do I fix it?

A service to change the seals (you need a motion control service kit, part no R5250000 and some fork oil) will usually sort the problem although it may reoccur. I've been told by someone in the industry it's a manufacturing tolerance issue. Long term fix is to get TFtuned to service your forks. They have their own parts used when PUSHing the forks that they can fit as part of one of their comprehensive services. If the fork is still under warranty though get the retailer to sort it.

Tack för tråden! Jag hade likadant problem , för mycket olja i ytterbenet och dålig lockout men nu har jag en riktigt skön gaffel.Kanske har det varit så från fabrik? häls peter

Been there done that. På min 08:a var det den vita plastmojjen som var feltillverkad. Dess två o-ringar ligger bedvid på bilden.

jag var inte inne på cycle corner, men jag fick mail från bike-discout att de tar tillbaka gaffeln och fixar det eller byter ut den, men det tar minst tre veckor..
cykloteket i västberga hade inte kittet idag när jag frågade.

Jag har ett o-ring fix för det - bara byte ut den o-ring som tätar den retur-stång till ett som passar bättre till den feltillverkade vit-plast "seal-head".

Min gjorde en 4-dagars tor till Cyclecompoents på garantireparation/service efter ha uppträtt likadant... Tyvär väldigt vanligt med felspecade oringarorginal i något år gamla rebor... :-/ T

Det går alltså att fixa med en tjockare O-ring, den som tätar innåt emot rebound dämpar staget?
