What I meant is, there is probably a reason why you have switched form a DH bike to a "short" bike, so why do you want to change its geometry back to DH angles again:)?
65.5 suits the bike nicely. It took a bit of getting used to the new geometry. Longer wheelbase made the bike more stable, but higher front end and longer wheelbase caused my weight to shift backwards, not having enough weight on the front wheel and washing out in corners. I had to adjust and...
I have checked some details, and if I get it right, the tapered version has the offset cup both on top and bottom. Straight steerer ZS version has offset only on the bottom with gimbal bearing on top. You can see the cutout here http://reviews.mtbr.com/cane-creek-angleset-review
Yes, it's a lot. You can find it for ±120EUR in Germany. They use to have it here https://www.bike-components.de/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=angleset
Steerer type doesn't affect the head angle change. It's affected by the lower cup. Standard version has 1deg offset. You can also buy a...
Yes, it's -1 deg angleset. I added it when swapping the fork. I had tapered Fox Float 160 before, but now the Marz has straight 1 1/8" steerer, so I could use ZeroStack bottom cup to reduce the lower stack height. I haven't measured it, but the resulting head angle should be around 65.5deg. I...
I ride on a large frame with 50mm stem and 780mm bars, but I'm 186cm with quite long arms..
My fork is 2012 55rc3 Ti with 170mm of travel.
(clicks from full open - CC / total range):
no air preload
6/12 clicks of compression
19/26 clicks of rebound
30/60 clicks of preload
Preload acts little...
I'm glad to hear that! If I understood correctly, you run medium frame? How tall are you?
I'm also curious about your fork settings. Do you use any air preload? How many click of compression/preload/rebound do you use?
Thanks!
Muntis> I never had a chance to try the fattie, I've just seen it once at a bike exhibition. I have a pair of 2,5" soft compound DH tires though.. I have never thought about using them for winter trail riding:)

I'm sorry about the rebound setting, I remembered wrong and I should had double checked before posting.
Now that I checked, the full range on my shock is only 1 and 1/4 turn. I have it set to 3/4 of a turn from fully open (rotated anti-clockwise), so it's like 60% of the range.
One more idea, how many turns of preload do you use? I use only 1 turn, basically just securing the spring in place. If you are 85kg, I think you would have to use too much preload with a 350lbs spring.
This difference between sag with the same rider weight can be also caused by variability in...
I have M/M tune on mine, too. When the high speed rebound is too fast, it kicks when launching a jump. I think I have mine set to 1.75 turns from full open (it's the one adjusted with a small allen key).
25% sag on HD is too little. From my experiments, it feels best between 30-33%. With 400lbs...
