Routes for new stockholmer
Hej alla!

I've just moved to Stockholm 2 weeks ago and started to discover the inner city, cycling rules of country and language. Time to time weather gets super clear and sunny that i feel guilty that I'm not riding my bike. Is there any popular routes around the city that possibly totals 70+ km's ? In my hometown there are several routes that you could see people training almost all day long.

My initial idea is going to places where land ends by sea to discover around the city like Torö, Muskö, Smadalarö, Vindö etc. This way i ride distance and see around the city, but I'm not sure if I picked the good places.

ps. I have a road bike and currently searching for job which means i have almost all day to ride everyday and my strava page is here

Have a nice day

You are not allowed to ride a bike in the tunnel to Muskö and Dalarövägen towards Smådalarö has a lot of traffic. The smaller roads to Årsta havsbad and further south towards Nynärhamn and Torö are all very nice. There are many alternative routes to choose from all over Södertörn.

About 80km one way.

The book "Alla dessa cykelpromenader" covers a lot of shorter sections that I think would be nice to incorporate in a longer ride. Look for it in your local library or come by me and borrow it to copy or take some photos. It's in swedish but the maps are good enough and contain important info such as "Pizza" and more.
I live in Sköndal, in the southern suburbs.

By your choice of places I guess you are located on the south east part of Stockholm. If you are not dead set to only spend time by the sea, you can also head south west: Tungelsta - Grödby - Sorunda - Kagghamra. From there you can go over Mörkö and back to Södertälje, or just go back to Västerhaninge by 257.

Be mindful, avoid the 257 from tungelsta, lots of heavy traffic on weekdays plus cars and motorbikes going fast as f*ck on the weekend, it is an infamous road for petrol heads to record or try to set records on that road. Avoid it like the plague. The smaller roads in the region are nice.

For visuals, go to youtube and google slingerbulten, the nickname of the 257.

The dalarövägen is not great either, but doable, particularly if you avoid "peak" hour.
