Hej,
We are three friends from Switzerland who are currently bikepacking here in Sweden. Due to a small injury our plans have changed a bit and we need a way to get from Västervik to Malmö by public transport. Does anyone know which train companies or buses take bikes in this region?

Bikes on trains is extremely complex in Sweden. There is a good webpage that lists train companies that take bikes. Part of your journey is not covered. Note that some companies demand that you put your bike in a bag.

I don't know about buses, but my guess is that none take bikes.

You ask for public transport, but if one of you has a driver's license, by far the easiest, and likely also cheapest, option is to rent a small van.
