Stolen Canyon Nerve?

Found my dream bike on an auction site. It is a 2016 Canyon Nerve. Price seems too good to be true, although sellers on the site usually put their prices way too high; a used bike (or anything used) should be one-third of its selling price if it is in good condition. With that rule in mind, the price is fair. But normally on this site, sellers try to get very close to the selling price, which I think is crazy.

Seller does not have the receipt, though it is a very expensive 2016 bike. I have asked for the frame number and am awaiting the response. Am trying to check around to see if one has been stolen. Anyone heard anything about a 2016 Canyon Nerve being stolen recently? I am going to check it out today.

Also, if you have any other channels to suggest where I might investigate, let me know. Will check police and if it has a theft-protection sticker on it, I will contact them, too.

No receipt sounds fishy. Be careful. Ask a lot of questions about the bike, there it was bought etc. Put some pressure on the seller. Should be no problem if everything is legit.
