Yeah didnt even look for those eyelets. Found this frame on a japanese website. Their own inland distributed miyatas always look a little bit different
Thanks. Both actually. I love multiple day trips with camping gear but I adore the Miyata 1000. And if I build myself a bike up it will be one I still love in 10 years so i dont want to make any compromises with the frame.
they also got this bike as a complete one: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-road-bike/calgary/1988-miyata-1000-57cm/1696855748
yeah thats why I hope to find someone who would fly back to europe. Airline bicycle fees are very minimal and not expensive + no import fees. Sadly I dont know anybody from...
Look at this frame I found in canada: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1695108128
Insanely good condition for a Miyata 1000 (year 1988 i think).
If anybody is flying from canada to europe I would pay you for bringing it along ;)
Just read about them. They look tempting ;)
But aren't they hard to install?
Unfortunately I dont speak swedish so answers in english are better. But I can translate swedish with google so its no problem at all
Yeah brifters are amazing. A friend of mine has them but definitely out of my price range.
If i were to not use downtube shifters which other shifter models would look good without being out of place or too modern on my miyata?
I think I'm gonna get the frame from this site from some guy who is selling it. Sucks that its so expensive but it will be an amazing build and I will keep you guys updated along the way ;)
What do you prefer on your vintage Miyatas?
Regular shifters or shifting levers on the frame? I think I...
Thank you. That helped a lot.
Yeah I was touring with a single speed before and know I am ready for some comfort. Your gearing suggestion sounds great!
Both wheels will be bought new for this build as i really want to trust this bike if Im stranded in the middle of nowhere. Any suggestion...
Hej!
I'm new to this forum and looking forward to build up a Miyata 1000 myself.
What kind of gearing do you guys have on yours? Especially if you wanna climb some hills with a heavy load on the bike?
Would anybody be so kind and sell me a frame/tell me where to get one?
