Compare Avid Elixir 3 2012 and Avid Elixir 5 2010

Hi All,

I have Specialized Rockhopper and want to buy new hydraulic disc brakes. For the front brake I have selected two alternatives, which one you think is better?

1. Avid Elixir 3 2012 180cm rotor

anyway, if you have any other suggestion with the price and quality, would be very good :D
The braking power is really important for me :)

and I want to change my wheels also, do you think this wheels are good?

If you not biking in the alps the 180mm will be sufficient, lower weight where it counts.

About the wheels I would rather buy some hand-made custom wheels from Poison built with standard components, cheaper and better!
