Latvian guests in Sweden

Hello!
My name is Daina, I`m 24, currently living in Riga, Latvia.
I am planning to go to Sweden with my boyfriend Arturs on vacation after August 23th. We plan to spend couple days in Stockholm where we have a place to stay, and after then we would like to go outside and find some nice mtb routes near Stockholm [not those for tourists, but something like your usual training places]. We intend to take our bikes from Latvia with us.

So we are searching for friendly Swedish mtb-ers who could show us some routes [if not, gpx files would be ok], and maybe even place to stay overnight in exchange for some Latvian souvenirs :)
We can communicate in Latvian, Russian and English, unfortunately we dont speak Swedish [but there is whole month to catch up :) ]

Hi Daina,
Every Tuesday and maybe Wednesday there is a group of mtb:ers meeting at the foot of Hammarbybacken* and from there split up in groups depending on skill or ambition and then head out into the woods in Nackareservatet. It's real fun and anyone can join.

Hammarbybacken is the hill north east of Hammarbyhöjden.

thank you for reply! i will keep that in mind and try to arrange time so we could join others! :)

i was going through pictures in "pic of the day" topic last night, and got very dissapointed. here`s why - there are SOOOOO many awesome places in Sweden, but we have just a little bit over a week for the trip..

Just check in here again closer to your arrival and post when you want to ride and ask nicely if someone perhaps can guide you. There are many great trails around stockholm so you can stay busy for days easily:) most people should be back from vacation by then as well. I suggest the tuesday ride and if you are in town on a weekend surely someone can show you around.
I am actually in latvia right now in liepaja wreck diving:)
