RR Alsace Part 1
On Thursday 2nd of June Anneli, our friends Arvid, Eva and I left Brussels and drove to Alsace. A good 4,5 hours drive and then we picked up Arvids and Evas rented Cannondales.
Then we went down to our hotel in Bollenberg and started to check out the surroundings...
Arvid was happy to go
Into the green
Starting with push bike and we got some practice with that during the weekend...
Then it turned quite simple
Great view
Found a very old castle that was unfortunately undergoing a restoration so we couldn't enter
Some figthing faces
Anneli keeping a low profile
But happy after a nice down hill
Eva going trough the nettles
Arvid chickening out, but I can tell you it didn't help.
Didn't hurt...
But Anneli said this hurt a bit...
And after a long day in the mountains you could always test some wine in the nearby nice village
Makes some bikers really happy!
We didn't try this...
But we tried this beautiful single track, which worked for about 10 meters and then it was completely filled with rocks.
