Ultegra 11s to 12s - rim brake

Please feel free to reply in Swedish, I understand it just fine. For the sake of making sure my message is understood properly, I will write in English. Hope you don't mind.

I have a 2020 Canyon Endurace, Ultegra R8000 Rim Brake that I very much enjoy, and unless the frame breaks, I do not really see myself buying another bike.

But more and more I wish to have Di2 and 12-speed, hence this thread.

The upgrade kits I have seen so far all come with the rim brake callipers. Does that mean I wouldn't be able to use my current ones?

Ideally I would like to only buy the Di2 shifters, battery, cabling/electronics, both derailleurs, 12s cassette and chain (plus I would like to change my crankset of 172.5mm to a 165mm one).

Any suggestions on the most economic way to do it all?

And what do you think the value of Ultegra R8000 parts I would be replacing could sell for these days?

I would say that it's very unlike that Shimano changed the brake cable pull when moving to 12-speed.

An Ultegra 12-speed group (without crankset) is 1207 euro at bike-discount. It looks like buying separate parts at BD is slightly cheaper when nog adding brakes. You could sell the brakes though.

Don’t do it it’s a waste of money. What is it that you are looking for in a 12 speed cassette beside an extra sprocket?

I agree, it’s a lot of money. It’s not just the extra speed. It’s Di2 vs mechanical. I won’t do it unless I can sell my current group set for a decent amount of money though.
Haven’t found any used group set for sale on either here or Blocket. Wonder if they don’t show up for sale at all or when they do they sell quickly?

Yes, you can still have rim brakes with the newest 12-speed Di2. Might be the last of it. Not many stores have it in stock so I’m guessing it isn’t super popular. Rim brake, it’s soon a thing of the past and to be seen at the museum :(
