What I meant to ask
Hello again, i wrote the question in swedish first and i was not sure it made sense, so i wrote it in english and it still didnt make sence (its been a long day). I meant to ask about the downhill mountain biking track I have heard about in Örebro can anyone come along and ride? my closest place to ride was Ski Sunne but they have not opened this summer, I am no expert but really enjoy it, i have started cross country riding now as well, I tell you that most english mountain bikers would chew off their right arm to ride some of the tracks I have 5 mins from my house its fantastic.

Just edit the title to "DH i Örebro" or something similar and you'll probably have more chance of a useful answer. There is a thread for regular(ish) rides in Örebro but it hasn't been active for a while and seemed aimed mostly at XC.

Never been to Örebro myself, so can't say anything I'm afraid.

Hello Danfox

There are bacily two places to ride downhill in the area around Örebro.

20km west of Örebro we have Storstenshöjden. Witch is the local ski-hill. Here we are working on some DH-tracks. They are pretty nice in my opinion. But more will come shortly. However the lift is not open yet. We are not sure when this will happen. Probably later this year. So for now we all have to push.

The other place is lie 30km south of Örebro. "Kvarntorpshögen" this place can offer you very local tracks. However no lift, and the tracks are hard to find if you dont know them. Me and friend(ivehult) were up there yesterday. The rain was pouring down...almost fun=P

Take a look at this thread http://happymtb.org/forum/read.php/1/1265408/page=1 just holla in the thrad when you want to ride. There are usaly someone that also in the mood.

Im guessing you are from Örebro?

Love

Albin

I'm from Gothenburg and last year I spent a week working in Örebro and used the "Happy Ride Örebro" thread to contact some XC bikers and had a good ride. Post there and you'll be rewarded, probably.

BTW There is a massive man-made pile outside Kumla (20 min drive from Örebro) which possibly could offer some DH/freeride opportunities.
