- The shop accidentally trimmed the steerer tube too short for me, so this has been sitting around after it was replaced a new fork. (It’s got 200mm steerer left, so for many people, it’ll be fine.)
- It seems wasteful to throw it out, and I got it for free anyway. Half price if you’re local to Stockholm and can pick it up in person so I don't have to bother with finding a box and shipping.
- It has 3-hole cargo cage mounts, through-blade low rider rack mounts, crown rack mounts, and a crown fender mount so it’s perfect for bikepacking.
- The catch - it uses a through-axle with a nut, which is rare, so you have to buy the axle yourself through Nordest, for €39. (Just buy it at https://nordestcycles.com/en/product/axle, and include the note ‘For a Sardinha 2 fork.’ I'll provide the info I got directly from Nordest about this.)
