Vätternrundan camping accomodation

Hi all,

I have registered for this year's Vätternrundan (Halv) and I've started looking for accommodation. I would like to keep cost low but also enjoy the summer nature so camping is the best combination of both. Going through VR website they list Råssnäs tent which looked nice but then there is also Camping Staffanstorp offered by somebody else (?)

Is there anyone having any previous experience with camping for VR? Any suggestions or tips?

Wrong Staffanstorp. The camping named Camping Staffanstorp is hosted by one of the local footballteams at their facilities. https://www.google.se/maps/@58.5346272,15.0830714,596m/data=!3m1!1e3
So probably there is access to changing rooms and showers.

And to the question in the first post:
@antonios I have camped in a tent on gravel football field in Motala. Was over 10 years ago so I don't remember the cost. It worked well. We had access to changing rooms, shower and sauna.
I don't know if you live in Sweden or not (since you are writing in english), but the nights in early summer can be very cold and rain can be frequent in that time of year. Råssnäs tent looks like the more scenic of the two options you have listed, as I mentioned Camping Staffanstorp is a football facility and it's close to a road and a manufacturing plant....

Råssnäs is really nice, I have lived there many years. Scenic and quiet.

If you're not too picky, many just pitch their tents on a random lawn in town. Done that as well.
