Haven't really been camping and looking to go with my partner this summer. She's rather anti camping and I want to make this a good time for her, so asking you guys for some help and recommendations of spots to go.

Things I'm looking for:
  • Swim/kayak/canoe possibly around archipelago
  • dog friendly
  • camp 1-2 nights
  • Grill with my small portable charcoal grill
  • some place with possibility to shower
  • if no shower, then water to swim and good privacy

Any other tips and tricks?

I've got a car so anywhere in Sweden is good, but near gbg is preferred. Taking all recommendations though.

Also if you have any Denmark or Germany camping spots?

Check out park4night.com or vindskyddskartan.se. For showers, stop at a commersial campsite. Or you can find lots of nice places by driving around.

If you're partner is anti camping I wouldn't push too hard.. Perhaps try "glamping" first?

Regarding tent, perhaps rent a tent the first time? A 2 person tent is usually too small for two people to be really comfortable.

Yes, if you're driving, bring a larger and more comfortable tent. Doesn't matter if it is heavy. And some camping chairs and a small table. You can stay most of the time at proper campsites, which have all the service, and maybe a shop & restaurant.
