Däck - 29er - Tubeless
Hello!

It's time to replace the original set of 29" Rapid Rob tires that came with my bike.

I am posting here for your expert recommendations. I am running full tubeless. My rides are mostly technical single track and grusväg. I am looking for excellent climbing tires that are stiff enough to handle lower tire pressure. (My year old Rapid Robs feel sloppy and drift unless they have rather high pressure - don't like this!)

Leaning towards a set of Hans Dampfs or Nobby Nics.

Thoughts? Let me know if you recommend using a different tire for front and rear and which you are blending. Do you typically switch to a different set of tires for races?

Thanks!

Isn't Hans Dampfs and Nobby Nics quite different kind of tires? For technical single track and low pressure I would go for the Dampfs but I think there are better all-round tires out there.

Thanks for the response.

Regarding your comment "but I think there are better all-around tires out there." Can you share your recommendation(s)?

I´m using X-king on my 26" and they work really good. Enough traction in the singletracks but also good speed on the gravel roads.

I'm currently running on 2.5" Wicked Will's and usually I prioritize grip over rolling resistance and weight so I thought others with experience of lighter tires could answer. :)

I also used Big Betty's and Continental Rubber Queens, I prefer the Schwalbe tires with big air volume and low pressure.
