ESS Sölvesborg: Yeti SB5.5 or Ripley 4
Any local that could give any insight on what the trails are like and what is best to ride them between a very capable short travel trail bike and a full Enduro rig?

Thanks in advance

Not sure exactly what segments are going to be included, but for the general area I'd say there aren't that many big features nor massive gradients.

Could you define "big feature?"
What is big to you might be monstruous to me or just a trail ripple depending on what you are used to...
As Albert said... Everything is relative ;)

On the trails I've ridden there, there is one like 0.5 m drop that's pretty straight forward and then two like 0.75-1 m drops that I think are scary and never ridden.

Some locals riding xc bikes..

Första videon är "fel grupp" (de som kör XC istället för "enduro").
Andra videon är mer representabel. ?

Edit:
The second video is much more true to the more "enduro" oriented segments.

Most definitaly
This was the most technical XC race of the Swedish calendar
Short of the rock near the end of stage 2 that did require some carefull line choice and a little hop at the the end of it, I think that considering the need for pedaling and the stickyness of the mud on race day, the Yeti would have been an overkill 99% of the time and would have been much slower on the flats and the climb in 6...
Didn't even bottom out as far as I remember...

Nice to hear!
But if you think that was a technical XC race you should stop by one of the previous Swedish/European championship XCO tracks in Jönköping/Hestra/Värnamo/Huskvarna. They have far bigger features. I think I took all the B-lines on the one in Värnamo. XD

Just saying that this was not very gravity orientated and very pedally for a gravity enduro.
Even for Sweden it was flat and "features" were very mellow.
But it was a fun even none the less
