Scott's carbon-ramar är tyngre än deras aluminium-ramar?
Slösurfar runt lite och kikar på nästa tänkbara MTB-inköp och tänkte att Scott genius 29er verkar ganska frän. När jag kollar vikten mellan genius 930 (alu) och genius 920 (carbon) så ser jag att plastramen är tyngre än motsvarande aluram, alla andra komponenter är exakt samma.
930 väger 12.90 kg
920 väger 13.05 kg
Ställde frågan till scott om det verkligen stämde och de sa japp:
"Yes. The 920 is .33lbs heavier that the 930….this is due to frame construction. On this level of bike, they both have the same componentry, the difference is that we can make the alloy frame a little lighter that the carbon frame due to frame thickness. With that said, with the carbon frame you will get a little more rigidity as well as better vibration dampening than that of the alloy. "
Då är frågan, vågar man köpa 930 eller är den FÖR undernärd? I ett test mot 11 andra konkurrenter vägre scotts aluminiumram minst av alla, även mindre än ex camber comp carbon
