Ok, ramen dök upp, hämtade den på posten men:

Wooot, manglat packet, WTF, not again

Hmm, aint looking good

Stervelo - sorry for interfering with your post here. Correct me if im wrong, just need to clarify - your issue with Banshee was... in 2007 - 2008?

Ohh - im just curious, a little "Happy" browsing tells me you got the Ibis frame in June 08 so i reckon this happened 2 years ago.
The reason for my curiosity and need to clarify... being the current scando Banshee dist. id rather not if anyone got the idea that this happened recently or that i in any way had anything to do with it, i hope you understand.

Sure, you were NOT the dealer then, that was Cyclecomponents. But, it was not Cyclecomponents that behaved bad, they stood up for me, acted really nicely. Banshee on the other hand was the crappy part, and that is the same now as then.

"Banshee on the other hand was the crappy part, and that is the same now as then."
If its not asking for too much - would you mind explaining that statement, please.

Horrible fact that producers are so in the hands of asses with trucks... BUT hand-building a frame/bike and not putting even minimal care to packaging now that's just stupid. At the extra cost of approx. 50€ my guess is that broken/manhandled frames would be down 90% - and that alone makes an economic incentive.

Besides the fact that one would of course feel that this brand actually had a head to think with and that customers were important to them.

It was Banshee that behaved badly simply. Banshee is still banshee, it is the same company. That is all I meant. Cyclecomponents did a wonderful job, does that clarify it?

Since you are asking, I will give you the Banshee story again then:

1. After all the hassle with the original frames, one trashed in transport, not banshees fault, one faulty one sent to me, banshees fault, they told me that all that they had left was an 08 or 07 Pyre, painted in the next years color, the color of the new pyre, which went XC race in the process and dropped an inch in the rear. I told them I did not want that, hassle and stuff if I decided to sell it.

2. Then they said you get a new pyre, the XC race Pyre, the old was a AM Pyre. So, I am then sitting with a components that would not fit, for example fox36 a the front, and a bike I do not want. Really nice of them. So, after arguing for months, they decided to send a Rune. I fought for that, the Rune was the spiritual successor of the old Pyre the AM one, that they could not deliver.
Half inch more in the rear, but the same type of frame.

3. That Rune arrives with a bad bad anodization job done to it, it looked like it had tyfoid, and a deep gauge in the Bottombracket "tube" and they then refused to correct that.

So, the last 3 frames they want to send or did send, was second rate merchandise.

Cyclecomponents then kicked them out. What I am saying is you are the new Dealer for Banshee, but Banshee is the same.

I think Banshee are !#¤%&"!, since you asked.

Haha, Perzzon - blame me, im sorry about that, now you got me thinking also... and that on top of Stervelo´s experience - not good!
Atlas, whether i like the answer or not is irrevelvant - relevant to me is that when someone post a thread in May 2010 and leave out the fact that this happened 2yrs ago, i as current representive for the brand feel the need to clarify that this is NOT how i/we operate.
Way before i started out with Banshee i plowed through zillions of forum threads to learn more about
their bikes, construction issues/flaws and most importently their customer service - from what ive learned so far Stervelo has been extremely unfortunate.

Yeah, the seem to have good customer care based on what I read in American forums, that was one of the reasons I bought a Banshee, but when the tried to FCUK me I realised that they did not seem to care about a small market like Sweden. I hope they have changed and they support you well.

Thank you for explaining, belive it or not - i asked Jay about this issue as it concerns me, he has his version and further discussion about communication between CC and Banshee is a dead-end from where i see it as their international/EU sales manager at the time is no longer with them.
Ironically ive just warranted a snapped...07 Pyre in Norway, customer got a new front triangle, no questions asked - so yes they have changed, they support both me and our/their customers.
And just to clarify from my side - i think what happened to you was horrendous, no doubt, make no mistke about that - therefore this need to question it.
