Det är inte så mycket mutor och påtryckningar, problemet är med hela systemet. Det är inte byggd för att hitta sanningen. It is much more about money and politics than it is about science.

Jag tar det här från en kommentar till fredagens Trust But Verify blogpost:
"WADA never tests its tests.
This is something that we have suspected here, but we also knew that WADA labs do not have to disclose their method validation studies to athletes, so we could not say anything for certain about how WADA labs validate their test methods. But Dr. Berry says that WADA and the WADA labs do NOT validate their test methods in an adequate way, and the highly respected publication "Nature" has thrown its full weight behind this conclusion. WADA and AFLD could of course prove Dr. Berry and "Nature" wrong by publishing their validation studies, or even by stating that they have performed validation studies that go beyond the blank urine testing reported at LNDD 0456. But WADA remains silent and AFLD remains silent. So, let's repeat:
WADA never tests its tests.
This is CRITICAL to our understanding of what is going on in doping testing. It is SO critical, in fact, that there's really no point in discussing 95% levels of confidence and prosecutor's fallacies. We have no reason to give the LNDD testing a 95% level of confidence -- maybe they test at a 99.99% level of confidence, or a 2% level of confidence. Who knows?
All AFLD can tell you is that its test is based on a CIR method favorably reported upon in peer-reviewed science, and that its test has been performed 30 times on blank urine with 95% confidence using a margin of error of +/- 0.8. In other words, AFLD did all of their testing on ONE sample, a sample they presumed to be negative for exogenous testosterone. They had no way to determine how close their measured results might be to the true measurements. And they never bothered to test the test against a positive sample.
This is the critical point that Dr. Berry is making. All other points made by Dr. Berry, in my humble opinion, fade to meaningless.
WADA never tests its tests.
Please, don't bury this headline.
Here on your forum, TBV, we've evidently given more careful consideration to the validity of the WADA tests than WADA does."
