Norwegian Expedition - all tips welcome!
Hi There Ursvik MTBers!
Hope it is OK if I take this in English - want to reach the maximum number of people and not confuse them with my Swedish
I am off for an expedition in Norway during next week and the week after. The plan is to do the famous Rallarvegen, then go via a hiking path over the mountain Myrdal to Upsete, then continue down to Voss, and return by the fjords boat before finishing riding UP Flåmdalen and returning to Oslo (I hope I have a day spare to ride at Frognenerseteren near the city). Then I will finish up going to see the downhill part of the MTB VM in Hafjell (and maybe volunteering).
I have a few questions:
Anyone here with any contacts in Norway, particularly Oslo/Geilo/Voss, who I could talk to and get tips from?
Anyone here done the Rallarvegen and has any tips?
Does anyone know a good bike shop in Oslo? (I will be going by train with the bike in my Thule case, and have to build the bike and leave the case in Oslo to make things easier to get to and from Geilo/Voss...)
Anyone else here going to the MTB VM? Volunteering there?
