Fast nu vet vi ju inte säkert vad sanningen är. Precis som med doping borde man vara försiktig med att försvara den misstänkte om vi vill förbättra cyklingens rykte som fusksport. Oavsett om cykeln tillhörde den misstänkte eller inte så borde det vara oroande nog att det ens förekommer en tävlingscykel med en dold elmotor på tävlingsområdet för ett VM.
Särskilt oroande är det att någon som jobbar på/med SCF försvarar en misstänkt fuskare baserat på lösa rykten och uttalanden på internet.
