Söker en galen fatbiker och bikerafter :)
Hey Yonna. With my 10 Swedish words it's impossible to read your adventure but I love your amazing pictures. Really great!
Do you have a blog or website where I can read more? Or perhaps Facebook? I sent you PM!
How I found you can you read here : https://happyride.se/forum/read.php/1/3179670
I am looking for a girl with an expedition bike with huge wheels and big tires. A Norwegian backpacker met her last year in the Swedish Mountains on a hiking trail, he was very impressed and he told me her story. Her boyfriend died in an accident and she never got to say goodbye. She decided to make a long farewell trip and spread his ashes at the place he loved best of all: in the Swedish Mountains. It took her more than a month to reach that special place and when the Norwegian guy met her she was almost there. I thought it was the National Park Sarek but I'm not sure about that.
It must have been an unforgettable, wonderful and very, very hard journey. And it gives me the same crazy idea ....
This year I lost my father, a mountaineer and a long distance cyclist. And I'm thinking about spreading his ashes in the mountains too. But I'm not a cyclist, I don't have an expedition bike and bike camping equipment and don't have mountain experience. According to the Norwegian and other backpackers I've recently spoken, it's impossible to ride a bicycle on the mountain hiking trails but still she was there with that special bike, camping equipment and the urn so it must be possible? He also told something strange about a small inflatable boat she had on the bike to cross rivers and lakes?? But most questions I have is about the grieving progress during such a hard farewell journey .... That's why I want to come in contact with this girl / woman.
Does anyone recognize her story, is she a member on this forum, does anyone know she has a blog, facebook or is there another Swedish bike forum where I can ask? I know it's a very personal story but it's the only way to find her. I hope she doesn't mind ...
Thanks for your help.
Greetings, Edwin
