I am planning a bikepacking trip (6-7days) from Umeå to Stockholm next summer and would like to hear advices based on your experiences. Especially best routes, places to see/avoid etc. Thank in advance.

E4 road should be avoided, not suitable for biking. You could also buy a good road atlas and select minor roads by yourself, (or use online maps), anyway the distance will be longer than the straighest way.

Thanks, i will check this option and compare it with routes in Ride with GPS-application, for example.

Everybody has its take on this. Personally I would investigate decent places to eat and stay. Then plot my course.
When on the bike, make sure you have a good navigation device. (I like Wahoo).

I say: start with places/roads that you want to visit in the region of interest. Connect them together using the best road options you can find. And make sure that food and accomodation can be handled in a satisfactory way.

To me, the journey is the destination.

Avoid E4 and you are in for a treat any way you go.

Filter setting: Slitager, blue equals gravel, red equals tarmaq.

Create a route based on your prefrences using the tool of your prefrences (Garmin, ride with gps etc.).
