Lite mailkonversation mellan mig och CRC. Som ni ser så har vi inte kommit långt.

Hi Conor.
Thank you for your reply.
My friend Mathias ordered a pair of Julie-brakes from Nubuk which arrived two days ago.
Please have a look at the attached picture that shows the contents of his package. The bolts and shims are in Maguras original packing, but mine came in two anonymous zip-lock bags. He also received the manual, and of course the bleed-screws i mentioned earlier. You need to explain this difference for me.

Of course i would like to receive the missing parts, please send them to me as quickly as possible.
But you still havent answered all my previous questions, so i repeat:
>> Should these brakes have been sold with this screw in place?
>> How will the performance be affected if this screw is not fitted?
>> Is it possible for me to fit another bolt just to ensure that dirt and

And please give me an answer to why this bolt was removed in the first place, why there was no original packaging, and why no manual was provided.
This might be normal business procedure, but as this is only my second purchase from CRC ( and my fourth internet-purchase of bicycleparts) please enlighten me. Should Magura brakes be sold in this manner?

I can see that these brakes are not used. I never said that you sold me used products.
But you dont say if they were fitted or came with a shipment of bikes that were meant to be assembled.
If you say these brakes were not fitted in your shop i can not argue with you, but i will ask Santa Claus to keep an eye on you. ;-)
Maybe these brakes were returned from another customer who for some reason changed his mind?
Or was it perhaps someone in your warehouse who decided to try this product on his own bicycle and did not want to tell?

I did not ask for new brakes. If i wanted a new set of brakes i would have returned them to you as soon as i opened the package instead of installing them. I just need you to supply me with the missing parts.
As i said earlier, i expect to be happy with these brakes as soon as they are run in, and i accept minor scratches and dents on parts that are sold for a lower price.
But perhaps you could be a little more specific the next time you offer parts for sale, clearly stating that "These brakes are offered for sale because our clumsy apprentice mechanic wanted to try them on but couldnt afford them" or "these brakes are sold at a special price because they arrived with a shipment of Cannondalebikes that we stripped and offered as frames" or "we got these brakes cheap from Magura, they had a lot of product lying around that a major bikecompany rejected because of scratches and dents".
And please do not tell me you are not sure why my this happened.
Even " the managers 10-week old Dachshound swallowed the missing parts, the dog is alright now and the bolts came out the natural way but we did not want to ship them to you until we cleaned them" would be better than a reply of "Im not sure".
Could you please do me a favour and ask your colleagues, one of the might be able to provide the answer?
(of course as soon as you have arranged for the shipping of the missing parts)
Still in hope of a quick answer,
Markus Femling
EDIT: Jag gjorde det lite mer läsbart.
