Hey guys. I am Dutch and found this Swedish fatbiker on Flickr. Awesome! I've heard about the Kungsleden but never thought about to ride it with a bike. Is it possible or is this guy really crazy??
I hope this guy is a member of this forum so we can talk more here, would be great!

Anyway, cool pictures!

The picture of the reindeer is really great! Anyone knows where this picture had taken? Is that also on the Kungsleden?
Thanks!

Fantastic pics you found there!! The photo is tagged Nikkaloukta and Kungsleden so I suppose if she has tagged properly then it should be it! :)

btw fatbikes are very popular in northern sweden :)

Damn you're right, she's a girl! That's makes it even more interesting ;)

The bikerafting pics are also fantastic, it seems impossible what she did, with the heavy fatbike through the rough terrain/mountains. What's the weight of that fattie? It's not a large frame so she can't be a big person. And than all the gear, the packraft, paddle, lifejacket, food .. together 40kg? Unbelievely, I feel like a wimp haha

https://www.flickr.com/photos/yonnabjorkkvist/albums/72157678238091810
And the winter pics .. really cool! I've never ride a fatbike in snow (it always rains in Holland) and the photo where she shows the pressure in the tire (third photo), it seems nothing! Is this normal, what should be the pressure in snow? You swedish guys know :)

https://www.flickr.com/photos/yonnabjorkkvist/albums/72157679582196516
The album Fjallen, Laktatjakko: Google says it's Sweden's highest mountain lodge? Is that possible with a bike, it looks awesome but really really tough. Maybe next summer, if I have the guts :)

I was born in a wrong country ..

It's never to late to move to the right country.

Northern Sweden is great for fatbikes both in summer and winter. Some parts of Kungsleden is very tough to bike, others are great. There's a Swedish book "Kungsleden på mountain bike" that's great if you think of Kungsleden.
Låktatjåkka is a fantastic trip in summer. Probably great in winter too.
Here in Luleå where I live we use to go with our fatbikes on the sea out in the archipelago in February and Mars. Exotic experience.
Welcome to Nortern Sweden!

You're right, it's never to late. But if all swedish girls are as tough as the fatbikegirl (she must have Viking blood), big chance I end up as a lonely single with a big biiiig beer belly! No way they'll love a dutch softie cheesehead haha.

Looks great, thanks! Only the language is a big problem, but I already know two swedish words: 'knackerbrod' and 'fan'. So that's a start ;)

Fatbiking on the sea?! Wow!
I thought Sweden was only forest and lakes but when I saw the fatbikepics .. it's incredible beautiful!

Thanks and have fun in your beautiful country!

Someone who knows if the fatbikegirl Yonna has an account, then I can send her PM. I searched her name but I struggle with the language, it's too difficult for me. Maybe someone recognizes her bike or knows she has a blog or website? It would be nice to read more about her fatbike trips. Thanks!

Try to send mail from her Flickr page.

I feel like a stalker but if there's no other option I'll do that.

Maybe this forum (or this topic?) is not the right one because I only see fatbikes without any bikepacking gear? She travels a lot with her fatbike, maybe she's the only one here? Sorry if I am wrong.

I found an other swedish bikeforum but no fatties :(

Thanks for your help Svpe! :)

I think the bikepacking- "trend" with fatbikes is a lot bigger in the USA, Canada, and Finland, than it is in Sweden, but it will certainly grow here in the near future. So just explore and see... :-)
