Sorry if this has been asked before, but I wasn't even sure which search terms to use to search for a similar post in the forum:
I ordered a pair of cheap (1000kr) commuter wheels from Bike24 with Deore hubs and Mavic rims. They showed up about 1mm out of true. They're also slightly out of true vertically, but insignificantly so. The package they arrived in was in perfect condition, so this didn't happen during shipping.
When I emailed Bike24, their response to this was that one should "expect" to have to true these wheels (even though they're brand-new)
My question is:
Is this acceptable, or should I be asking for a replacement/discount? Obviously I'll never buy wheels from them again. I could have gotten the same deal from Merlin Cycles, and they're supposed to be handbuilt.
